Vallan Hodge Richardson is a certified tennis instructor who is currently employed at the Anguilla Tennis Academy (“ATA”) as the Chief Operations Officer “COO”. From 2014 to the present Vallan held the position as the Tennis Director for Four Seasons Anguilla (previously known as Viceroy Anguilla) and from 2011 – 2014 Vallan held the position as the Tennis Director for Viceroy Anguilla. Prior to working at Viceroy Anguilla & Four Seasons Anguilla, Vallan worked as the Director of Tennis at Cuisinart Golf Resort and Spa from 2005 – 2006, and from 2006 – 2011 Vallan worked as the Director of Tennis at Malliouhana Resort.

Coach Vallan is a graduate of the ATA and has been recognized as one of the top tennis players in Anguilla since the age of 15. He was awarded tennis player of the year in 2005. Vallan’s hard work and dedication both on and off the court has contributed to making the ATA a success. His passion for teaching tennis has motivated both adult and junior players to improve their skills and have fun while playing tennis. Vallan is very competitive and a smooth operator on the tennis court. Watch out for his cross-court backhand and serve!

Vallan ran and completed the 26.6 miles 2013 ING New York City Marathon to raise money and awareness for the Anguilla Tennis Academy. Vallan saw this opportunity as a way to give back to a program that has fulfilled his dream of becoming a tennis professional. Through this noble effort, he created local, regional, and international awareness for the ATA and raised in excess of US$60,000.
