ATA Youth Ambassador Program
The Anguilla Tennis Academy’s (ATA) Youth Ambassador Program welcomes young achievers and aspiring tennis lovers between the ages of 15 and 25 to serve the ATA and help fulfill its mission, goals and objectives. This program will consist of a maximum of five (5) persons selected locally, regionally and internationally. Individuals will be selected based on their enthusiasm for the sport of tennis, passion for the development of children, and overall interest in the advancement of the ATA’s mission and philosophy. All persons serving in the role as an ATA Youth Ambassador will be placed on a special committee with the ATA Founder and President and will serve for a minimum of two (2) years.
The ATA’s Youth Ambassadors will work individually and collectively to achieve the ATA’s common goals and objectives. Upon completing his/her term of service, the youth ambassador will have the privilege of nominating someone to replace him/her. This process will ensure a viable program that has both continuity and longevity. Each Ambassador will be required to visit the island of Anguilla and serve at the ATA as a volunteer coach/mentor at least once per year. Accountability will be fostered and reports will be shared at special meetings which will be convened every four months via conference call. Said meetings will be facilitated and chaired by the ATA’s Founder and President.
Each applicant will be required to complete and submit an ATA Youth Ambassador application form for review and analysis to ensure the applicant qualifies for the program. These applications become the property of the ATA upon receipt. Successful applicants will be featured as the official ATA Youth Ambassadors on the ATA’s official Facebook page and website and may be included in the ATA’s marketing materials. In addition to creating awareness for the ATA, each Youth Ambassador will assist with the promotion of fundraising drives, equipment drives (to fund the ATA Wish List) and cultural exchange programs (regionally and internationally).
The ATA Youth Ambassadors will contribute meaningfully to help the ATA remain a viable and sustainable institution. A certificate of participation and letter of service will be presented to each ATA Youth Ambassador at the completion of his/her service. Indeed, this ambassadorial program will allow the ATA to partner with committed and dedicated youth around the world with diverse cultures, backgrounds, and talents in the sport of tennis. This collaborative effort will ensure that one man’s dream of providing opportunities for young children through tennis becomes a legacy of lasting value through a shared vision.
