Calyde Hughes

Calyde Hughes is a proud and passionate tennis player with 26 years of experience at the Anguilla Tennis Academy (ATA). His hobbies include spending time with his family, playing basketball and working out at the gym. Calyde has advanced throughout his tennis journey with the ATA.

Calyde has participated in many local and regional tennis tournaments. He was crowned champion at the Oyster Bay Tournament in 2008 and at the ATA Easter Classic tournament. These are just a few of his championship highlights.

Calyde is a certified Tennis Professional. He achieved this in 2019 after passing the theory and practical testing at a tennis workshop in New Palts, New York. He also recently completed the Level 1 PTR certification training course held at the Anguilla Tennis Academy. This advanced his qualifications to work in both the tennis industry and the ATA as a Tennis Professional.

Calyde enjoys providing tennis lessons to children and adults on the island of Anguilla. He loves teaching tennis because it allows him to build new relationships to share his passion for tennis and the knowledge of the game with others. Calyde continues to evolve both as a tennis player and a coach. He welcomes the opportunity to serve as Tennis Director of Four Seasons, Anguilla.
